Adele, Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Skrillex, Jay-Z, Tony Bennett et Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift, Bon Iver, Cee Lo Green, Paul McCartney, le compositeur français Alexandre Desplat figurent parmi les gagnants des Grammy Awards 2012.

Adele aura été la grande gagnante cette année avec pas moins de 6 récompenses dont celles d'album et de chanson de l'année. Autre grands gagnants les Foo Fighters de Dave Grohl, Skrillex et Kanye West. La cérémonie animée par LL Cool J fut dédiée à la mémoire de Whitney Houston, décédée samedi à l'âge de 48 ans. Jennifer Hudon lui offrit un vibrant hommage en reprenant "I Will Always Love You".
